love from overseas

i absolutely love friends who travel n bring back my fave grubs from overseas. a sure way to get into that special place in my heart! here are the two most recent.

from leander’s travels in jakarta: a PAPERBAG full of packets of the original instant indo mi goreng.

title or description

in essence it’s v similar to the ones we get here – dry noodles with chilli, black sauce n seasoning. what makes the indon one especially YUMS is that the chilli is spicier n i’m quite sure it also has a dash of ketchup in it. each packet also comes with additional garnish – fried onions. and of course the sauce to begin with is AMAZING.

from jon’s travels in australia: not one, not two, but three delightful packs of tim tam crush.

title or description

i still don’t understand why we can’t get these here. gorgeous tim tam fingers with a sweet and crumbly honeycomb center. hold me back!!

what are some of your fave grubs from overseas, that you always get friends to buy on their travels?
